| Review: Hide My Files is an application which allows you to hide your private data. It is an ideal moment you share a computer with multiple users, as it gives you a certain level of security. During initialization, you must enter a password to be entered each time you open the executable file for the program. The interface of the software is based on a clear and simple window where you can use TreeView to find the folders you want to hide. When you press the lock button, Hide My Files will automatically make each folder invisible. So it does not actually encrypt the password. If you want to unlock the folder, simply press correspondent and it will immediately detect. Unfortunately you can see a list of folders you have locked, so you'll have to look for them in the traditional way - by exploring your computer. However, they have long written code (similar to the file), so you should easily be able to find them. Plus, it's a very big disadvantage for Hide My Files, the fact that you can lock multiple folders at once. In addition, we expect to be able to lock files as well, because that's what the title of the program suggests (we find this bit wrong). Also, were not we would be able to change the password for the tool in Windows 7, such as Hide My Files seems to have some compatibility issues with the operating system (it works well on XP, though). The application runs on a very low amount of system resources and displays a brief guide below tree for beginners. Its response time is very good and we haven encountered some major problems. Be sure to lock all folders before uninstalling Hide My Files. Otherwise, they will be automatically deleted. |
